Giving Back to the community

At O’Donnell Carpentry, we have always believed in supporting the local community that supports us. As a business based in Newport, Co. Mayo, we understand how important it is to give back and help the people and organisations that make such a difference every day.

We were proud to recently support Newport Community First Responders by helping fund basic life support kits for their volunteers. These kits will be used on emergency call outs when responders are dispatched by the National Ambulance Service and will help provide immediate care in situations where every second counts.

In addition to the life support kits, we also provided the funds for a training defibrillator that will be used during the group’s monthly training sessions. Having access to proper training equipment means volunteers can continue to develop their skills, stay up to date and be fully prepared when responding to emergencies in the local area.

Newport Community First Responders carry out incredible work throughout Newport, Burrishoole Parish and the surrounding areas. Their volunteers give up their own time to attend emergency call outs, support the ambulance service and provide assistance to people in urgent situations before further medical help arrives.

We would also like to acknowledge the continued support of Hotel Newport for providing the venue for the group’s training sessions. Community support works best when local businesses and organisations work together, and it is great to see so many people helping such an important cause.

At O’Donnell Carpentry, we are proud to be part of the Newport community. While we are known for our work in carpentry, kitchens, media walls, flooring, wardrobes and bespoke joinery, we also believe it is important to support worthwhile local causes wherever possible.
